BASED IN VIBRANT MIAMI

Hi, I’m Sydney

On my 11th birthday, I was surprised with a subscription to National Geographic magazine. My first issue featured the musical history of the Spanish-speaking Caribbean and had a pullout section that mapped styles and instruments to various regions. I spent the next few weeks pouring over sounds, rhythms, and parts of the world that spoke directly to my young heart and soul. You could say it was the beginning of my journey as an interpreter and translator.

This interest took me to live and work in many Spanish-speaking countries in South America and the Caribbean — through college, graduate school, and several certifications. And finally to the work I do today.

Every day I’m aware of what a privilege it is to be in this profession professionally and personally. When I’m not on the road for work, you can find me around Miami with my dog, Milo.
